I guess the first question is, "Why did I choose this as my first posted photo?" For me, the answer is simple.

This shot nicely sums up my little family: my wife Stephanie (the taller one on the right) and Ernie (peeing on the tree). Trust me when I say these roles are never reversed--Steph is all class. The picture isn't particularly close up, nor do you see much of either of their faces, but it serves to remind me of other important things, like our little outtings together. This was a chilly day in March (2007) and we decided to go for a little jaunt to Waterloo Park (one of two parks within reasonable walking distance of our apartment).

I find it cute when Steph bundles up and pops on her little wool toque. Ernie, as smart as he is, manages to see the same hat as one of many signs we are heading outside--and he definitely wants in. Other signs include the jingling of my keys, the unlocking of the door's deadbolt and any of the following words: "Walk", "Outside" and "Outdoors".

So that's my little family unit..."Tree Pee" Ernie, "Cute Toque" Steph and me...hiding behind the camera.
