This past Saturday, September 29/07, friends and family from all corners of the province attended the Ordination ceremony of my sister-in-law, Carrie-Anne Kippenhuck. This all took place at the People's Church on Mohawk St. in Hamilton, Ontario.
I personally don't know all the implications of becoming ordained, but I do know that she can now perform marriage ceremonies and she is allotted the title "Reverend". Needless to say, we are all so very proud and it was a true privilege to share this great accomplishment with her. In case you were wondering how she felt about the day, well, I think this picture says it all! This was taken after the ceremony while we were waiting outside Turtle Jack's restaurant in Guelph. We were a party of 12 with no reservation, but Carrie-Anne's expression certainly doesn't give away that we had been waiting outside for about an hour-and-a-half at this point. I guess this was aided a little by the close proximity of her darling nephew Jackson, seen wearing the new little hat she had just given him.
We eventually got inside the restaurant, split between 3 different tables, and the food and company was totally worth it. It was a great day all around--here's to the Reverend!
