"Patriarch"

Yup...I know, I know. It's been literally months since I last posted. You see, I started out SO well, posting almost every day or at least every week...but then my whole process broke down (or at least it must appear that way to my 2-3 regular readers--ha!).

Anyway, I'm back. Hopefully I'll be able to stick with it a little better in 2008--but I resist calling it my "New Year's Resolution". They never work: It was my resolution to lose weight for at least the past 10 years and what's the final result? Now I'm "Walt x 2"! Moving right along...

I figured I would start blogging again after I took this picture of my Dad over Christmas holidays. I just love the character and detail in his face--and this sort of contrasty black and white photo really plays on that well.

This is a picture I will have with me forever. It's a timeless portrait of my father and hero, Claude Thomas Kippenhuck. Here's to you Dad!
